Dr. Kalfa completed his fellowship in the Department of Allergy and Immunology at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. He served as a residentphysician in general pediatrics as the Michigan Sate University/ Hurley Medical Center in Flint Michigan. He also completed a research fellowship with the Respiratory and Neurological Medicine Research Unit in Ames, Iowa.

Dr. Kalfa has been practicing in Michigan since 2004. He received his board certification from the American Board of Allergy and Immunology in 2005. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.

He has been Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan State University and consulting physician at Sparrow Hospital, McLaren Hospital, Clinton Memorial Hospital, Sparrow Ionia Hospital, and Carson City Hospital. His practice is limited to the diagnosis and treatment of asthma, allergicanimmunologic diseases in children and adults.

Dr. Kalfa is married with two children. When he is not practicing medicine or spending time with his family he enjoys playing tennis, watching soccer,and reading

Lindsey Schiellerd PA-C

Lindsey completed her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at East Carolina University.  She practiced pulmonary medicine before joining the Allergy and Asthma Clinic of East Lansing in 2013.  Lindsey works as part of the AACEL team to provide care to patients of all ages with allergy, asthma, and immunologic conditions. She provides direct patient care in the clinic, assisting in the formulation of diagnosis and treatment plans.

Lindsey is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys playing soccer, playing the piano, and spending time with her family and friends.
